Commercial Window Film Case Studies

Real flat-glass projects across metro Atlanta — named buildings, our own crews, and Madico film measured on the wall. Here's how the work actually performs.

Multi-Campus ChurchKennesaw & North Georgia

The Challenge

Large expanses of glass and direct North Georgia sun left the building with excessive glare, hot interior temperatures through the summer, and visibility concerns inside the theater and worship spaces.

The Solution

In the theater areas we installed a custom dual-layer system — a layer of Madico Optivision 25 beneath a blackout film — to hold the reflective exterior appearance consistent with the rest of the building while maximizing heat rejection and creating complete theater blackout. Throughout the classrooms, offices, and hallways we installed Madico Optivision 25 to cut glare, improve comfort, and control interior temperatures with one uniform look across the facility.

Film: Madico Optivision 25 + blackout layer

The Results

Full theater blackout for worship and media, a clean uniform exterior across every elevation, and a more comfortable, energy-efficient space for staff, guests, and congregation year-round.

Luxury Pet Boarding & DaycareWoodstock, GA (Cherokee County)

The Challenge

With Georgia's intense summer heat and large parking-lot-facing glass, the facility needed to cut harsh glare, raise daytime privacy, and hold a cooler, calmer indoor temperature for the animals in their care.

The Solution

We installed Madico Optivision 25 on all exterior windows facing the parking lot and surrounding areas to reduce glare, improve daytime privacy, and control heat. In a separate application, Opti 5 went on the interior viewing window between the lobby and animal areas to add visual privacy and minimize distraction and overstimulation from lobby traffic.

Film: Madico Optivision 25 + Opti 5

The Results

Significant glare reduction and solar heat rejection on the exterior glass, plus a calmer animal environment behind the Opti 5 lobby window — all while keeping a clean, professional appearance throughout the building.

Self-Pour Craft TaproomOld Fourth Ward, Atlanta BeltLine

The Challenge

High BeltLine foot traffic and direct sun exposure called for a film that would cut glare, raise daytime privacy for guests, and regulate indoor temperature through the hot Atlanta summer — without losing the sleek, modern storefront look.

The Solution

Pour selected Madico Optivision Reflective 5 for its combination of solar heat rejection, glare control, and daytime privacy, finished to complement the restaurant's BeltLine-facing glass frontage.

Film: Madico Optivision Reflective 5

The Results

A noticeably cooler, more comfortable interior with strong daytime privacy from the busy BeltLine — while keeping clear outward visibility from inside and easing the load on the building's HVAC.

Commercial Window Film FAQ

Does commercial window film actually reduce heat in Atlanta buildings?

Yes — and we can put numbers on it. On the Pour Taproom install along the BeltLine, Madico Optivision Reflective 5 rejects 78% of total solar energy and 94% of infrared heat. At PetSuites Woodstock, Optivision 25 rejects up to 60% of total solar energy and 81% of infrared. In Georgia's summer that means cooler interiors, fewer hot spots near the glass, and noticeably less load on the HVAC. The U.S. Department of Energy recognizes window film as a top-tier energy-conservation upgrade for exactly this reason.

Which Madico film is right for my storefront or office glass?

It depends on how much privacy, reflectivity, and heat rejection each opening needs. For bright storefronts that want strong daytime privacy and a sleek, modern reflective look, we use the Optivision reflective line — Optivision 25 or Reflective 5. For interior partitions and viewing windows where you want privacy without a mirror finish, like the lobby window at PetSuites, we use Opti 5. We assess each elevation and recommend a specific film per opening, which is why one building often gets more than one product.

Can you install window film without shutting down my business?

Yes. We schedule commercial installs around your operating hours, including after-hours and weekend work, so your storefront, office, church, or restaurant keeps running. Flat-glass installs are clean and contained — we mask and protect the work area, and most openings are filmed and finished the same day.

What kinds of commercial buildings do you tint around metro Atlanta?

A wide range — churches, retail and storefronts, restaurants and taprooms, offices, and pet and veterinary facilities. Recent local projects include NorthStar Church in Kennesaw, PetSuites in Woodstock, and Pour Taproom on the Atlanta BeltLine. If your building has glass that runs too hot, too bright, or too exposed, we can spec a Madico film for it.
